{Missouri} Blackwater, part 1

For Mother's Day we went to a small town that far from us for a delicious brunch. Afterwards, we walked around on their grounds and then explored the little downtown area. Behind the hotel, where brunch was, was a beautiful little garden area.

She used to be so good about looking at the camera for pictures. Now she's a super busy almost 3 year old!
Three generations.
Playing with Papa.
One of many pretty flowers.
Pretty plants. I love going to local gardens as they give me so many ideas for my own garden!
Happiness.

After exploring the garden, we checked out their main street. One of the buildings was set up to showcase how the building used to be (or could have been) and was a bar. I didn't take many photos of the whole place, but a few signs caught my attention.
One of the signs that was in the saloon.
My favorite of the two signs that hung in the saloon.

Right inside the real doors, were old saloon style doors that were on hinges. Lily wasn't so sure about them but thought that it was fun to walk underneath them.
She thought the door was just right for climbing under.
And so she did it.

While walking around, we saw a sign for a water garden so we had to check it out. It was a raised water pond with lots of goldfish in it. Lily enjoyed the water and fish. It runs in the family!
